Friend Stock is a social game on Facebook where each player is a stock that you can invest in.

These are the Terms of Use page for all of the FS family of games.

1. GUIDELINES

These guidelines are intended to ensure a positive experience for the Friend Stock community. When thinking about what is approprite in the FriendStock Community, imagine that you are entering a social gathering make up of guests from all around the world. As hosts of this international social gathering, we (the Friend Stock team) will invite and refuse guests according to their etiquette.

Please keep the following social etiquette in mind while enjoying a great game play experience, we hope that our community will be a fun and rewarding place for you

I. No Cheaters. No Griefers. Ever!

Cheaters are defined as anyone who intentionally uses a program, script, hack or exploit in a game in order to achieve results that would normally be unachievable in normal, untainted gameplay.

Examples:

* Use of automated scripts

* Use of multiple accounts

Griefing is behavior by a player that goes beyond the norms of competitive gameplay to become purely malicious and detrimental to the overall gameplay experience.

Examples:

* Mob raiding – multiple accounts ganging up on a player in order to crash that player's stock

* Announcing negative / derogatory comments about another player

* Falsely representing facts – such as ‘This link is crashing’ to affect another's stock

* Spamming - Repeating comments over and over again

II. Rules and Code of Conduct

Players on Friend Stock and the FS family of games managed servers MUST:

* Be respectful of others, especially when disagreeing with them

Personal remarks about other members, including negative remarks about their age, disability, gender, ethnicity, race, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, intelligence, character, appearance, health, mental health, education, or any other personal characteristic are not appropriate. Posts and discussions intended to criticize or ridicule other members personally are not allowed.

* Never use external programs to improve performance during a game.

Scripts are not allowed, we have an automated system that will flag accounts that use automated scripts and we will ban any users found using them. They slow the game down and create errors for all players. Play fair and with respect to your fellow gamers.

* Never make use of exploits in a game's coding to improve performance or unfairly balance a game against other players.

If a player is found to have exploited a loophole in the game, the management reserve the right to adjust the users Boost tokens, Game cash totals or remove the player without notice.

* Not harass other players on the game chat or through other behavior (team raiding or taking battles into FB mail).

Abuse will not be tolerate in the FS games. We are proactive at making sure the games are kept friendly and fair. We will remove any player who chooses to ignore this rule and will provide Facebook with information if required.

* Never attempt to interfere with the server's operations in order to affect game performance or outcome.

Deliberate actions by any player to damage the operations of the game will result in a ban for life.

* Follow the Facebook terms of use at all times, including image and abuse policy.

The developers of FS are bound by the Terms of Facebook, as are the players.These terms also apply to all FS users and we will respond to any reports that these terms have been breached. See the Terms here.

* Not post obscene, vulgar, or otherwise offensive content

Do not display words, information, or images that are vulgar, obscene, graphically violent, graphically sexual, harm minors in any way, exploit images of children, or are otherwise objectionable. This includes URLs of sites that display such words, images, or information. Permission for exceptions to this rule must be obtained from the FS management team.

* Not clutter the community with spam.

Do not use the FS Community to advertise or solicit on behalf of commercial, religious, charitable, or other organizations, causes, products, or services. To ask to advertise officially on the FS games email here.

* Be yourself. Imposters are not welcome.

You may only register for Facebook and FS account. Do not pretend to be anyone other than yourself and do not use a fake account to spy on the FS Community or gain an unfair advantage.

* Not engage in any criminal or illegal activity or encourage others to do so.

A FS community is not the place to advocate illegal violence against or harassment of groups or individuals, even if religiously motivated. Do not solicit or promote the use of an illegal substance, promote illegal activity, or discuss illegal activities with the intent to commit them.

We may remove postings, warn members, suspend accounts, and cancel accounts to maintain the integrity of our community. Remember that these guidelines are intended to make our community safe and fun for all players. These guidelines are a work in progress, so please check back often for revisions.

III. Rule Enforcement / Game Monitoring

Friend Stock will provide both live and automated monitoring of all games to ensure that the aforementioned rules are properly enforced and administered:

Automated monitoring: Whenever possible, Friend Stock will employ programs to police cheats and hacks 24/7.

Live monitoring: Friend Stock will staff its games with administrators, managers and helpers who will be responsible for dealing with cheaters / griefers and ensuring that servers are performing well, and responding to user enquiries.

User Reporting: You can use the Help link or the support email addresses on the games to report issues with the game servers, including:

* Server performance (lag, downed servers, freezes, etc.)

* Cheating, griefing or use of hacks

* Inability to access servers (either due to hardware / software failure or account validation issues)

* Reports of admin abuse

IV. Penalties for Violation

Penalties: Users who violate the server rules will be warned immediately and may also have tokens or cash adjusted.

Repeat violators will have all gameplay accounts revoked and will be banned from the games.

Appeals: Users may appeal a penalty against them by emailing the support email addresses on each game. They will be required to submit visual proof or legitimate testimonials to their innocence in order for a penalty to be overturned.

2. POLICIES

PROFILE IMAGES & LINKS

The Friend Stock games fall within the Terms of Use of Facebook.

To help you decide if your picture us allowed on FS please see below.

If you are in any doubt please ask one of the helpers on the Help pages to avoid any warnings or a ban.

Not Acceptable:

* Pornography - sexual acts, topless women, overtly suggestive poses

* Thongs / G-strings

* Genitals exposed partially or completely

* Images depicting violent acts

* Images depicting Drug abuse

* Politically sensitive issues (such as neo-nazi / racist imagery)

* Using pictures without permission (copyright theft)

* Links to any videos or pictures that contain reference to the above

* Images that contain foul language or offensive content

* Links to third party companies

Acceptable:

* Partial undress. Suggestion of nudity but without exposed genitals or nipples.

* Bikini shots

* Underwear shots where nipples / genitals covered

* Cleavage shots (if you insist)

* Images that could be seen on the front cover of magazines such as Times & Vogue (but not adult mags)

USER ACCOUNTS

FS games follow FB's terms of use. Failure to follow these terms could result in your account being removed from FS or a penalty as stated above in the Rules.

I. Multiple Accounts: Players may only have one Facebook account across the Friend Stock family of games. Any player found using more than one will receive a warning and could be reported to Facebook. You may be warned or banned and asked to contact the support email to have your account reinstated should this happen.

II. False Representation: As stated by Facebook, you must use your own name.

III. Logging In: Only you can operate your Facebook and Friendstock account. You must not share your password with anyone else. You must not log in on behalf of another player, or member of your family or friends.

IV. Age Restrictions: Players must be over 13 years of age to comply with Facebook's terms.

3. SAFETY

Your safety in the game is more important to us that anything. We ask you follow some simple guidelines to protect yourself in the unlikely scenario where an issue should occur.

* Never give out your account password. Friend Stock will never ask for this information.

If someone ask you for your password, please let us know by emailing the support email and we will investigate.

* We recommend that you don't share your personal information with other players on the game. Should you decide to share your telephone number or address we advise caution, and ask that you only share these details by email or facebook mail. Friend Stock cannot be involved with any actions outwith the game.

We urge you to learn and follow best practices for staying safe online.

PROBLEM RESOLUTION

If you need to report any behaviour that seems threatening or abusive towards you or another player please email us at the support email address for the game.Your information will be treated confidentially and we will endeavor to help wherever possible. You can also report violations of the Facebook terms here.

Both Facebook and FS will need proof of any dispute and also the UID of the person being reported.

We recommend you take screen grabs in case you are required to show evidence.

To screen grab a page simply click on the PrtSc at the top of your keyboard, open Paint, (click on start/all programs/accessories/Paint) and then click on ctrl+V. You can then save the picture on your harddrive ready to email to the support email for your game.

4. DISCLAIMER

The Friend Stock games are provided as an interactive and informational game application. It is provided to you by Cardinal Blue Software, in connection with our partners, service providers, sponsors, or other affiliates.

WE, OUR AFFILIATES OUR SERVICE PROVIDER, AND OUR AND THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR LICENSORS, MAKE NO WARRANTIES OR REPRESENTATIONS ABOUT THE CONTENT (INCLUDING THE USER CONTENT), INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ITS ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, COMPLETENESS, TIMELINESS, OR RELIABILITY. NEITHER WE NOR OUR SERVICE PROVIDER SHALL BE SUBJECT TO LIABILITY FOR TRUTH, ACCURACY, OR COMPLETENESS OF ANY INFORMATION CONVEYED TO THE USER OR FOR ERRORS, MISTAKES OR OMISSIONS THEREIN OR FOR ANY DELAYS OR INTERRUPTIONS OF THE DATA OR INFORMATION STREAM FROM WHATEVER CAUSE. PRIVACY POLICY

Non-Identifiable Data: When you utilize the Site, we may receive certain personally non-identifiable information about your use of the Site. Such information, which is collected passively using various technologies, cannot presently be used to specifically identify you. We may store such information ourselves or it may be included in databases owned and maintained by our affiliates, agents or service providers. We may use such information and pool it with other information to track, for example, the total number of visitors to the Site, the number of visitors to each page of the Site, and the domain names of our visitors' Internet service providers. It is important to note that no Personal Data is available or used in this process.

FS does not use cookies.

Legal Requirements: We may also disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (i) comply with a legal obligation, (ii) protect and defend our rights or property, (iii) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Site or the public, or (iv) protect against legal liability.

This Privacy Policy applies only to the Site. The Site may frame or contain references or links to other websites not operated or controlled by Service Provider (the “Third Party Sites”). The policies and procedures we described here do not apply to the Third Party Sites. The links from the Site do not imply our Service review or endorsement of the Third Party Sites. We suggest contacting those sites directly for information on their privacy policies.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

The Site may change from time to time. As a result, at times it may be necessary for us to make changes to this Privacy Policy. Accordingly, we reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time and from time to time without prior notice. Please review this policy periodically. This Privacy Policy was last updated on the date indicated above.
