This is the FAQ page for the Friend Stock game. All the FS games have different timings and features.

GETTING STARTED
How do I play?
The first thing you should do is click on "You" and buy your own stock. We have created a Newbie Tutorial to walk you through the game and offer you some tips to help you get the best start on the game -> click here for Tutorial Page
Who can I ask for help?
Unlike many games, the FS family of games has real time helpers on hand in the Help page to answer any questions you may have about FS. They are experienced players who know the games inside out.
Please do not ask them to buy you, and please don't advertise in the help section.
You may also come across Advisors and Consultants as you play. They are also there to assist you.
How do I make money?
You make money by buying others' stocks and then selling at a profit, or becoming your investors Top Investors if they split (see split info below). You cannot sell until you have held the stock for 1 hour.
You will get your initial investment back plus 75% of the profit - the other 25% goes to the stock owner whom you have sold. You can find other new stocks by clicking on the NEW tab
What do I do with the Boost Tokens?
Boost tokens are used to increase a stock's value. Boost tokens can be used on each stock you own every 2 hours.
The longer you take to boost a stock, the better chance of getting random SuperBoosts.
You can also buy Cash with the tokens by going to your Cash button.

Who can I boost?
You may only boost a stock that you have added to your portfolio, and to be able to boost yourself you must also purchase your own stock. Boosting increases the value of stocks. If you're lucky you may give/receive a SuperBoost!
Superboosts are given random although the chances of a superboost increase the larger the gap between boosting.
How do I advertise my stock?
There is an 'announce' link above the the Help questions where you can create an announcement to let other players know about your stock.
This will post your message for all players to see.
Each announcement costs one token.
Please do not announce your stock in the Help area.
Why are some names in italic (cursive) text?
These are stocks that have either been invited and not yet installed the application or players who have left the game.
Either way, they are not active players.
Why am I showing to others as a private stock?
Your privacy settings may not allow FS to show your name and profile picture.
To show your name, go to Facebook's Settings->Privacy Settings->Search and change Search Visibility to Everyone.
To show your profile picture, under "People who can see me in search can see" check "My profile picture".

BOOSTING
How do I collect boost tokens?
Every half hour you can collect your boost tokens to save up, boost the stocks you own, use to announce or to gift other players. You find the "Get Bonus Now" to the top right of your page when the half hour has passed.
The more you collect, the more you can boost your stocks.
If you buy a Pro or a VIP account, you'll receive more bonus tokens than if you have a standard account.
What are PRO and VIP accounts?
These accounts offer players additional features, such as 'Boost All' in your portfolio pages, and extra gifts only available to players holding these accounts. To get access to these features see below:
PRO account: purchase 120 tokens in one single transaction and you will become a PRO member for 2 weeks.
VIP account: purchase tokens for $49.99 in one single transaction and you will become a VIP member for 3 months.
How do I renew my PRO or VIP account?
Go to Settings and click on renew/upgrade and follow the links on the site.
How do I receive tokens from an offer?
You can top up your tokens by clicking on the Tokens link at the top right of your page.
If you are missing tokens, click on "offers" and then "View Offer Status", and see that status of your offer.
If you would like to file a complaint, click on the [?] and Offerpal will respond to you within a day.
SPLITTING
How do I Split?
Once your value reaches $2146M you will be able to split your stock. You may split every 8 hours.
Your top investors will be rewarded with tokens and FS dollars for supporting you.
The split will reduce your stock price by 50%.

What happens to my investors after I split?
You do not lose any investors when you split. All that happens is the top ten investors who were rewarded will drop down your list of Top Investors. Top Investors are decided by how many boosts or gifts they give to you. Only the top ten investors are rewarded each split you do. When you have made a split the top ten investors who were rewarded is deleted from the list and the next 10 investors move up the list.
GENERAL QUESTIONS
Why do people have "2147" in their tags?
F$2147 million is the maximum price a stock can reach.
How do I get a bank account?
A Bank account will be given to you automatically when cash balance exceeds F$2000 million (2 Billion).
All excess cash will be deposited into the bank account.
If you wish to top up your cash balance you must withdraw from your bank.
Why can't I buy a stock over $2 billion?
The cash limit to buy with is set at F$2 billion at any time..
You will have to wait for the stock to have a seller and fall below $2 billion before you can buy it.
Why can't I comment on someone's page or buy them?
You may have been blocked or you may have blocked the other person.
The block function is there to use if you have an issue with another player.
Note - you are only able to block 20 players - any more and the first block will fall off your list.
What happens if I block a stock that I own?
If you decide to block someone and you own their stock you will lose that stock with no impact on their value.
Either sell then block, or do not block. The block stops you both writing on each other's walls.
This block remains until you ask for an unblock, or one of you gives or receives 20 more blocks then the block will be one way - only blocking the person with the fewer blocks on list.
How do I unblock someone?
Try to write something on their Friendstock wall and make sure you click on the blue comment button rather than hitting enter.
You will be prompted to unblock them. A notification will be sent to them to agree or disagree to your request.
They will also need to follow the same process to unblock you.
Why has my picture has been marked as inappropriate?
All players have the ability to mark a picture that is deemed as inappropriate according to Facebook and FS's Terms of Use.
If your picture contains nudity, sexual content or acts of violence or drug abuse, it will be flagged and your account could be banned.
If your picture has been unfairly marked you may unmark it.
The managers and helpers are there to help if this situation arises.

How do I find a stock?
Check out the Friend Stock search page and look for a stock by their name or by User ID.
Friend Stock uses the same UIDs as Facebook.
How do I join a Network?
On Facebook, go to Settings>Account Settings>Networks tab and join a Network.
Make the new Network your Primary Network.
On Friend Stock, click on the "Settings" link followed by Click to Update
GIFTS
How do I give a gift to another player?
When on another player's page you may select 'Give (player's name) a gift' in left menu.
This will give you a variety of gift options. Each gift will state an amount it will cost to give it.
Note: the Billion Dollar Bailout gives the player a megaboost but is not equal to F$1 billion in value increase
Any abuse of this feature by players to gain unfair advantage in the game will result in a "severe correction" in their stock price or net worth,
or a ban at the discretion of the Developers.
Why did some of my gifts vanish?
Sometimes gifts disappear from profile pages, if this happens all you have to do is click on the links below.

Why do some people have gifts on their profile that I can't see in my gifting options?
Some gifts are only available for PRO and VIP account holders.
They will be available on your gift list if you choose to upgrade your account.
Upgraded account holders also have more lines available to show off gifts they have received on their profiles too.
WARNINGS
Why was I warned?
The reason for your warning should be posted on the warning message.
If you have a dispute with your warning you can ask about it on the Help page.

What happens when a warning is given?
The warning will stop you from announcing and limit yor comments in a day to 100.
It also prevents you from marking pictures.
How long does a warning last
Usually 24 hours. If you wish your warning to be lifted please ask a helper, or email -> here.
